Assessment of Tank Water Spread Area in Cheyyar Sub Basin Using Sentinel 1A Data

چکیده
A research study was conducted for estimating the water spread area of tanks in Cheyyar sub basin year 2022. Tanks are low-cost irrigation source and play a key role recharge ground water. Mapping regular monitoring plays an important resource planning. Sentinel-1A SAR data has high potential as it is unaffected by cloud cover, light or weather conditions. After processing obtained satellite using SNAP software, threshold approach. The backscattering (dB) value ranged between -30.641 22.898 during course study. total noticed maximum minimum month January July with 5728.20 ha 1123.44 (21.88% 4.29 % tank area) respectively. rainfall received about 1290 mm. seems to be proportional previous current months.
